Blue Thunder is one of the four vehicles available in BS F-Zero Grand Prix and BS F-Zero Grand Prix 2. It accelerates very quickly to 400km/h, but takes much longer to reach top speed. It turns well on corners, but loses speed easily when doing so due to its rather weak grip. It's durability is the third best among the four machines in the BS F-Zero games. In F-Zero 99, Blue Thunder exists as an alternate decal for Blue Falcon, and there are no statistical differences between them.
